Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Promptprepare ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website at promptprepare.com(the "Service"). By using Promptprepare, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • Account information (name, email address) if you create an account or sign in with Google OAuth.
  • Prompt text you enter into the generator — used solely to generate your output and not stored beyond the session unless you save it.
  • Contact form submissions (name, email, message) when you reach out via our contact page.

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, session duration (via analytics).
  • Device and browser information: browser type, operating system, IP address.
  • Cookies and local storage for session management, user preferences, analytics, and advertising (see Sections 4 and 5).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate and improve the Service (generate prompts, fix bugs, measure performance).
  • To authenticate your account and maintain session security.
  • To respond to contact form submissions and support requests.
  • To send transactional emails (account-related only — no marketing without consent).
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the platform.
  • To display advertising and measure ad performance (see Section 5).

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your prompts to train AI models.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

  • Google OAuth: For optional social sign-in. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Gemini API / Groq API: To generate prompt outputs. Your prompt text is sent to these APIs but not stored by us beyond the response.
  • Vercel / Firebase: For hosting and infrastructure. Subject to their data processing agreements.
  • EmailJS / SMTP: For contact form delivery only.
  • Google AdSense and its advertising partners: To serve and measure advertisements (see Section 5).

4. Cookies

We use several types of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential cookies for authentication (session tokens) and core functionality.
  • Functional cookies to remember your preferences.
  • Analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used.
  • Advertising cookies set by Google and third-party vendors to serve and measure ads (see Section 5).

You can manage or disable cookies through our consent banner and in your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect functionality such as staying signed in.

5. Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on parts of the Service.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website and other websites on the internet.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com.
  • You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and review Google's advertising technology policies at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
  • Third-party advertising vendors may also use cookies; where required, you can opt out of personalized advertising from participating vendors via aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.eu.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we request your consent before serving personalized advertising, in line with applicable law (see Section 7).

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Prompt inputs are not persisted server-side unless you explicitly save them. Contact form messages are retained for up to 12 months. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights and Consent (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
  • Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format).
  • Withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.

Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are shown a consent banner that allows them to accept or reject non-essential cookies, including advertising cookies, before such cookies are set. You can change your choices at any time via the cookie settings link on our site. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure OAuth flows, and environment-variable-protected API keys. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we are committed to protecting your data.

9. Children's Privacy

Promptprepare is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, via email notification to registered users.
